Itabashi CampusA Kita-ku Preconception Care Lecture was held by faculty of the Department Department of Nursing Faculty of Medical Technology

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, a preconception care course was held by a faculty member from the Department of Maternal Nursing Department of Nursing Teikyo University Faculty of Medical Technology at Kita-Topia (Kita-ku, Tokyo). This course was held at the request of Kita-ku, and was held three times last year.

Preconception care means health management for future pregnancies, and is an important initiative not only for women who are planning to become pregnant, but also for all women of childbearing age and their partners. In the first session of 2025, Hiroko Nukuda, Senior Assistant Professor in the department, spoke to people aged 18 to 39 living in Kita Ward about knowledge, lifestyle habits, and tests related to future pregnancies and childbirth from the perspective of midwife. On the day, 33 people participated, including not only women but also many men, and some couples.
We will continue to strengthen our collaboration with Kita Ward in order to further develop this course.
